By Football Italian staff Sport Italia staff Marchesa is ready to leave Roma, according to the Italian side.
The 28-year-old is set to sign a five-year deal with Juventus, but the club is ready for a new challenge in the summer.
The move to Juventus is the latest of many departures for the former Lazio midfielder, who joined the Nerazzurri for €18m in January.
“We have reached an agreement with Juventus for a five year contract, which will cover two-years in the Serie A,” Marchesi said in a statement.
“It is very important for the club to continue with the development of our players and the club, in general, is happy to continue to work with all the elements of the team.”
It’s been reported that Marchesli is set for a move to Italy, where he was a regular for Sampdoria and Fiorentina.
Roma, however, are not keen on the idea.
“The situation is very difficult,” Roma director of football Tommaso Guarelli said on Tuesday.
“Marchesi is leaving for Juventus.
The club has a contract with him for five years and he has already signed a five years contract, so this is not a problem for us.”
For a long time we have been asking for a transfer to Juventus and they have not given us any answer.
We hope the situation will change in the future.
“Roma’s next game is on Saturday, when they host Sampdori in the final of the Coppa Italia.
