By now, we’ve all heard of the world’s first 3D-printed robot.
The folks behind it, Makerbot, have been making and selling these machines for a few years now.
Makerbot’s latest offering, the Makerbot Simple, has a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, with an accelerometer and gyroscope.
This machine was designed to allow users to create custom designs from 3D printers.
However, there’s a caveat: The Makerbot system is only available to hobbyists, and that limits how many you can create at once.
It’s also limited to one size and height for printing at the time of purchase.
Makerbots, who are now owned by eBay, says it’s now working to change that.
A Makerbot spokesperson told Ars that they’re working to add more customization options for Makerbots Simple 3D printing system, which will allow users more than three different shapes to be printed at the same time.
That will make the system even more versatile and flexible.
The spokesperson also said that the new version of the Simple 3DS will be “more capable” than the original model.
As for the 3D printed parts, Makerbots says that the printer will use PLA and ABS plastic to create the parts.
You can also purchase the Makerbots Easy 3D with the included 3D modeling software, which you can download and print out from their website.
The Easy 3DS is available for $29.99 on Makerbots website.
