A new beverage filling machines maker will hire about 200 people to help expand the Chattanooga facility, the company announced Thursday.
The Chattanooga-based Beverage Solutions division of Coca-Cola Co. plans to hire roughly 150 people at its new plant, which is set to be opened in late 2018.
The job growth follows a similar expansion of the plant that opened in June of last year, with an additional 350 employees hired to work at the new facility.
The announcement comes after Coca-COLA’s Chattanooga headquarters closed for the second time in the last two years, after a bankruptcy reorganization.
The plant will be the first of several to be moved in a company that has seen rapid growth.
